In the summer of 2019, the first tenants are to move in the plant not far from the Kauferinger station. That's how much the apartments cost. By Sarah Arzberger

The shell is still near the Kauferinger station. On the scaffolding and in the rooms workers are bustling. There is a lot of activity during the day. In a few months, there will be micro homes available for collection. The future owner Peter Kerler and his business partner Heide Groz informed about the future.

On the basis of a 21 square meter apartment Kerler explained how the apartments should be furnished. "All units are furnished with custom-made. They are equipped with a closet, a wardrobe, a kitchenette, a table, a TV and a bed. "They have paid attention to a modern, innovative and space-saving interior, to provide comfort. "For example, the sleep construction is a whole new, sophisticated system that unites the bed and the sofa in one. This allows more space to be created in the apartment, "explains Kerler. The interior was designed by the Munich company designfunktion, which specializes in "xs-living".

The construction work is going according to plan

Peter Kerler is very satisfied with the results. For the interior, plan to create a green area with seating. "It should create a place where the residents can meet and enjoy time," says Heide Groz.

The foundation stone for the plant was laid in May, with the aim of completing the construction project in the summer of 2019. This goal will also be achieved, says the native Landsberger Kerler. "We are fully on schedule. Everything went like clockwork, as the saying goes. "There were no complications during construction that could have caused delays.

From 24 to 49 square meters

The floor plan for the apartments has been designed by architecture psychologists, according to Peter Kerler. With it one wanted to make sure that the inhabitants can feel well despite small living space. "For example, all apartments are oriented to the south or west. Thus, it is ensured that the sun can shine into the apartments for a long time. "This was due to a simple trick: The two buildings with arcades were arranged in L-shape, so that all apartments could be aligned in the sun directions.

In total, the building complex has 60 apartments. "The apartments on the ground floor have 24 square meters, the first floor 21 square meters. The apartments in the attic have 28 square meters, "says Heide Groz. There are also two apartments with 49 square meters. The rent for the smallest apartment is 450 euros cold. "The larger units are then probably between 560 € and 960 € cold rent."

Will such a project be realized again in the district?

The demand for the apartments is enormous. Sales for the apartments are currently in full swing, following a classic investment principle. "We have already sold ten percent of the apartments to investors. In a short time it will soon be 20 percent, "says Kerler. The client explains this with the location directly at the Kauferinger station. "The apartments are thus ideal for commuters to Munich or Augsburg and professionals of local companies." Since the crowd on the micro apartments in Kaufering is so large, one considers to start other projects in the region. "It is very possible that we will plan more micro apartments for the Landsberg district in the future. As you can see, the need for it is huge. But we do not yet have concrete plans, "says Heide Groz.
